The Met Breuer
A great addition to the Metropolitan Museum of Art's already stunning collection, the Met Breuer offers art lovers four floors of rotating exhibits focusing on modern and contemporary art from the 20th and 21st centuries. The former site of the Whitney Museum (now in Chelsea), the building was designed by Marcel Breuer (pronounced BROY-er) and also offers performances, art commissions, and educational programs. A ticket to the Met Breuer also includes admission to the Met a few blocks away on Fifth Avenue and the Cloisters further uptown.
