Havana's famous camello buses, with their camel-like humps, are no more. Instead you'll find a more modern fleet of Chinese-made buses ambling their way around the city and its outskirts. The bus is definitely the cheapest (less than CUC$1 per journey), but you may find that deciphering all the routes can be a little complicated. For bus travel to other parts of the island, contact either the bus company Víazul or Transtur, both of which operate comfortable air-conditioned fleets of modern buses.
