7 Day Jordan Signature
7 Day Jordan Signature
Float in the Dead Sea, and bask in the monumental glory of the ancient, rock-carved city of Petra, as you journey through the signature sites of the Arab kingdom of Jordan.
Arriving to Amman, capital of Jordan, you’ll head south to Petra, site of the ancient UNESCO World Heritage-listed complex that’s carved into solid rock. First, explore Little Petra outside the main city, convergence point of ancient caravan routes from Egypt and across the Mediterranean. With your private guide, explore the main city of Petra, and marvel at the incredible craftsmanship required to carve such a monumental city into the face of a mountain, over 2,000 years ago. Continue with your guide to explore Wadi Rum, a spectacular pink-tinged mountain jutting out of the Jordanian desert. Discover Madaba, and Mount Nebo on your way to the Dead Sea, offering views of the Jordan Valley below. Float in the hyper-salinated waters of the Dead Sea for some peaceful contemplation as your journey through Jordan comes to a close, offering time to reflect on this new country you’ve since come to revere.
NOTE: Travel in Jordan often involves early-morning starts, designed to avoid crowds and the hottest midday hours. It can be hot, especially in June, July and August, but there is virtually no humidity and evening temperatures cool off dramatically. Jordan is a moderate secular state, well used to hosting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. While you will want to avoid revealing clothing, loose shorts and short-sleeved shirts are fine for any gender.
