A Taste Of Key West Walking Tour

A Taste of Key West Walking Tour

At the southernmost point in the contiguous United States lies Key West, a 7 square-mile island that is long on history and large in urban legends. Its 90-mile proximity to Cuba makes it closer to Havana than Miami and explains its ever-present Caribbean influence.

Your exposure to the real taste of Key West begins at a central location where you will meet with your local and knowledgeable guide and set off for a personal introduction to the island as you walk off the beaten path and into quiet side streets and local haunts.

Stop by a Mexican cantina and savor their tacos with locally sourced fish, then drop into an old speakeasy and imagine its glory days of entertainment as you sip on an authentic rum runner. A family owned Cuban restaurant will dazzle you with its succulent roast pork. A local favorite restaurant with outside eatery will entertain you with its tropical music and wandering chickens, and of course no visit to Key West would be complete without a stop at a bakery known for its Key Lime pie!

Along the way you will walk down lush, treelined streets with modest bungalows as well as 2 story wooden Victorian homes decorated with pastel colors and gingerbread trim. Learn about the island’s fascinating history complete with Cuban cigar factories and famous residents including the author Ernest Hemingway and former president Harry Truman.

Food stops may include: El Siboney, Bad Boy Burrito, The Rum Bar and Speakeasy Inn, Mangoes and Blue Heaven. Please note, however, tour itinerary is subject to change without notice.

Reserve your spot on this small, intimate tour now and bring your appetite as you eat your way around the incomparable Key West.
