Costa Maya Underwater Navigation Adventure Course

Costa Maya Underwater Navigation Adventure Course

This dive adventure goes beyond the ordinary, teaching you essential techniques in underwater navigation. Learn to master the use of a compass, employ natural navigation techniques, and accurately estimate distances underwater. The course is designed to empower you to leave and return to a designated point confidently, and to understand basic navigation patterns. These skills are crucial for any diver looking to navigate underwater safely and confidently.

As part of the program, you’ll receive one hour of detailed instruction on underwater navigation, followed by practical exercises to cement your newfound knowledge. The theory behind these skills will be thoroughly explained, ensuring you understand both the practical and theoretical aspects of underwater navigation.

This hands-on experience includes a dive to a maximum depth of 40 feet/12 meters under the expert care and supervision of our certified instructor. Following your dive, there will be a debriefing session to discuss your experience and progress.

For those looking to further their diving education, this program can be a stepping stone. It counts towards part of an Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD) course, should you choose to complete four additional adventure dives.

Before diving in, you’ll be required to complete a medical questionnaire to ensure your safety and readiness for the activity. Upon successful completion of the dive, participants will be awarded an SSI recognition card, a testament to your new skills in underwater navigation.

This Underwater Navigation Advanced Adventurer Program is not just a dive; it’s an educational journey into the depths of the ocean, enhancing your diving skills and opening up new possibilities for underwater exploration.
