Grand Holland Tour

If you are ready to experience what Holland has to offer outside the city of Amsterdam, then this comprehensive Holland tour is for you. On this tour of the Dutch countryside, visit several wonderfully diverse towns, such as Rotterdam, Delft, and the Hague. Join your friendly tour guide and begin an entire day of sights outside Amsterdam.

In Rotterdam, you will discover the largest port in Europe, where Holland’s massive sea trade industry abounds. The city is also home to some of the tallest structures in the country, including the impressive Euromast, which soars 610 feet into the air. Here, you enjoy a relaxing 1 hour river cruise before heading to Delft.

The 17th century city of Delft is known today for its iconic blue and white pottery. This lovely town is lined with beautiful canals and offers a truly Dutch experience. You will have free time to explore and have lunch on your own, followed by a visit to the Royal Delft Blue Experience, one of the few remaining Dutch ceramic factories.

Your tour of Holland will also include a stop where the Dutch government resides and where the International Court of Justice is located, the Hague. This modern metropolis is a must-see for visitors to the Netherlands. You will take a guided walk around the Binnenhof area in The Hague, where you will see the beautiful Houses of Parliament and the working palace of the Dutch king. You’ll make a photo stop at the Peace Palace on the way to the amazing miniature city found in Madurodam. There, you will encounter models of several typical Dutch cities built on a 1:25 scale. You will be able to admire traditional Dutch architecture from a bird’s eye view.

This day tour of Holland’s modern cities and quaint villages is a perfect way to spend your day outside Amsterdam.

Day 1 Amsterdam, the 17th century capital of Holland, is often called the "Venice of the North" due to its numerous, boat-navigable canals. Truly rich in history, the oldest part of this populous, multicultural city is Sloten, which dates all the way back to the 9th century.

Apart from the canals, attractions in Amsterdam include the Van Gogh Museum, Hermitage Amsterdam, the Heineken Experience, the Anne Frank House, and the Royal Palace of Amsterdam. Nightlife abounds as well, with many visitors drawn to its vibrant network of nightclubs, theaters and festivals.

Starting in 2014, the city has undergone an urban renewal effort, focused on expanding the city center and involving the construction of artificial islands. This is a one-of-a-kind city that begs to be explored by bicycle or boat tour!
