Discover authentic Mexico with its unique ways on this fascinating Customs and Traditions tour of local villages in the Tangolunda countryside of Huatulco. Here you will see the traditional lifestyle and admire the crafts of local artisans.
After leaving the pier, your professional guide will take you to see spectacular panoramic views of the Tangolunda countryside and learn the rich history of the area. You’ll stop at La Crucesita, a small local village, where you can stroll through the charming main plaza and shop in the handicraft market and silver shops. Here, you’ll find Oaxaca’s famous woven rugs and black pottery, as well its carved wooden figures. The zocalo (main square) offers a wonderful ambiance with its shade trees, benches, and sunny walkways.
Stop at the Mezcal house to learn about this traditional drink, and sample other local culinary delights such as mole, chocolate, and quesillo. Before heading back to the pier, you will also visit a loom to see local artisans weaving traditional cloths.

Spend the day hiking and snorkeling at Parque Nacional Huatulco, which also serves as a nature reserve for Oaxaca's abundant wildlife, or head east to Zona Arqueológica Bocana del Rio Copalita, an archaeological museum and the site of ancient ruins. |
