Island Adventure By Land And Sea

Land & Sea Island Adventure in St. Lucia

You will set out from the port in the morning on the driving portion which is part scenery, part historical land tour. Sights will include a working banana plantation, Marigot Bay – haven to yachts and the location for the 1967 film Dr. Dolittle, as well as the picturesque fishing villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries.

Your St. Lucia excursion will continue to Soufriere, home of the world-famous Pitons. Here you will enjoy a visit to the Diamond Botanical Gardens, before driving to a local plantation restaurant for a local buffet lunch.

After lunch, you will have a quick chance for a plunge in a therapeutic pool before driving down to the coast where you will board your catamaran sailboat. The boat size will depend on the number of participants. The group size on this St. Lucia excursion is usually between 70 – 90 guests. There is a shaded deck as well as space in the sun to relax. Your boat has restrooms on board. A sail of approximately 20 minutes brings the CAT to a picturesque secluded bay where you will anchor for approximately 45 minutes for swimming and snorkeling at your leisure from the boat. During the next hour, you will sail north towards the harbor with a quick sail into Marigot Bay (where the films Fire Power and Superman 2 were also filmed) for photos. Then on to Castries Harbor for your return home. Throughout the sail, keep your eyes open for playful dolphins that often swim alongside our catamaran.

Day 1 St. Lucia is an island of verdant landscapes in every direction: A dense rain forest rises up and covers The Pitons' twin peaks, and in the valleys, the sun's rays dance upon the large yellow-green leaves of banana plants. Beyond all the greenery, you'll find isolated coves, stunning beaches, colonial towns, quiet fishing villages and first-class yachting facilities.

Sports-enthusiasts needn't worry about feeling idle on a St. Lucia vacation. The island has plenty of activities to partake in, from water sports such as diving and snorkeling to land options like hiking through the rain forest and exploring a volcano.

Lucia's beaches are awe-inspiring, with strands of black volcanic sand, mile-long stretches of white beach and gorgeous palm-fringed bays bordered by towering mountains. Nature's impact on St. Lucia's beaches has made each one more breathtaking than the last.
