Kayak Exploration Tour

Kayak Exploration Tour

Break away from the city and enjoy a fun-filled day exploring the Stockholm Archipelago on a kayak tour. Home to an array of wildlife and birds, the crystal blue waters invite you to commune with nature in this world of stunning natural beauty. Enjoy spotting sea eagles, wild swans, geese, eider, loons, arctic tern, and enigmatic cormorants. You are likely to see several seals and other sea life, as well.

After meeting your experienced guide, head for the coast, where you will receive all the equipment needed for your trip. Your guide will provide you with a technique and safety instruction, and before you know it, you will be paddling your way through the archipelago and its spectacular surroundings. As you glide through the waters in your kayak, your guide will share information about the area and point out the best places to see the natural wonders of the Stockholm Archipelago. Tour past an old castle where the birds are plentiful and paddle by a plethora of islands, some carpeted with forest and some bare granite rock.

Enjoy a light lunch on a private island where you can rest and enjoy the sun and scenery. Continue your journey around the smaller islands in the afternoon to immerse yourself in the quiet natural beauty. Following your kayak adventure, your guide will return you to the starting point, where you can relax with a shower and sauna.

Comfortable fast-drying clothing with a bathing suit underneath, quick-drying shoes, sandals, flip flops, or water shoes, and a windbreaker or raincoat are recommended for this tour. Secure watertight bags are recommended for carrying phones, cameras, wallets, and other items that you wish to keep dry. Don’t forget a towel and bring some sunscreen, sunglasses, and a water bottle. Although no prior kayaking experience is required, this tour involves physical motion, so guests must be in reasonably healthy condition to participate in this tour.
