Mah Meri Cultural Tour
The Mah Meri people are one of 19 indigenous people groups in Malaysia. Here’s your chance to personally meet the Mah Meri and be introduced to their lifestyle, beliefs and culture.
Your 5-hour adventure begins with a scenic ride to a tribal village where the locals will greet you with a traditional welcome ceremony. The Mah Meri people believe in strong connections with their ancestors. That is evident in their rituals and intricately carved wooden crafts. Mingle with these friendly people and observe how they go about their daily activities.
The exhibit hall provides additional information on their lifestyle and artwork. Be entertained by masked and other ritual dances rooted in animalistic beliefs, then learn firsthand how to create an origami out of a palm leaf that you can take away as a souvenir of your time with the Mah Meri.
