National Park Off-Road Adventure
Take in the beauty of Curacao from a unique perspective: A 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser safari! This full-day Curacao tour provides you with the ultimate off-road experience aboard a Toyota Land Cruiser. Book your Curacao 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser tour and feel the rush as you will be taken directly to the very top with the only operator that has the agreement with the park to do so.
You’ll be picked up and taken to the tour’s start point. En route to the safari meeting point, your group leader will give a quick safety briefing and explain the unique Curacao terrain that you’ll be traveling on. We then start the tour with a sightseeing trip to the salt planes of Plantation “Jan Kok,” and Assecion, where we might see flamingos and where you will get a lot of information about the island’s history and nature. You will then be taken to Boca Patrick at the north shore and marvel at the geology of the region as you see the local bays and blowholes. After lunch (not included), you’ll reach the main attraction on this tour: Christoffel National Park.
Chirstoffel National Park, the island’s largest national park, features a rich history, wildlife, and flora. You’ll drive past slave plantations, birds of prey, and other notable sights. There’s a lot to see in the park, and your guide will point you in the right direction so you can take it all in. We strongly recommend you bring a camera. Once you see the views from a thousand feet above sea level, you’ll be glad you did.
Please Note: The local restaurants do not accept credit cards. Please have cash for any purchases. This tour does not include meals. Please bring sunscreen and a hat to protect your skin during this outdoor adventure.
Day 1 |
Curacao, a gem in the Caribbean Sea, offers a captivating blend of Dutch colonial charm and vibrant Caribbean culture. Its capital, Willemstad, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its colorful 17th-century architecture and historic waterfront. The city's iconic Handelskade, lined with pastel-hued buildings, presents a picturesque setting for leisurely strolls and waterfront dining. Don't miss the floating Queen Emma Bridge, which connects Willemstad’s Punda and Otrobanda districts and opens to allow ships to pass. Beyond the historical allure, Curacao is famed for its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters. The island boasts some of the Caribbean’s most beautiful beaches, including Playa Kenepa Grandi and Playa Cas Abao. These idyllic spots offer perfect settings for snorkeling, diving, and basking in the sun. The island’s marine life is a spectacle in itself, with colorful coral reefs and a diverse array of fish easily accessible from the shore. Curacao's cultural richness is also reflected in its cuisine, which combines influences from Dutch, Spanish, and African traditions. The island’s culinary scene is a treat for the senses, with local specialties such as keshi yena (stuffed cheese) and stoba (beef stew) featured in many of its restaurants. Additionally, Curacao is known for its vibrant festivals and music, including the lively Carnival celebrations and various local music events throughout the year. A fun fact about Curacao is that it is home to the famous Curacao liqueur, which is made from the dried peel of the laraha orange, native to the island. For the best experience, visit between January and April when the weather is pleasantly warm and dry, perfect for exploring and enjoying the island’s many offerings. |
