Day 3 Portland, England, offers a charming blend of coastal beauty, historical intrigue, and unique geological features. A visit to Portland means exploring its rugged coastline, including the famed Portland Bill, where the iconic lighthouse stands as a sentinel to the sea. The area is part of the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its rich fossil heritage and striking rock formations.

A stroll through Portland’s historic Quarries reveals a fascinating industrial past. The island’s Portland Stone has been used in notable landmarks including St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. Day 4 Falmouth is a popular seaside resort in Cornwall on the southwestern coast of England. Blessed with excellent sandy bathing beaches and a vibrant town, Falmouth can offer contrasts, convenience and choice in making the most of any holiday.

With one of the world's deepest natural harbours, Falmouth is a great sailing and watersports center, as well as a port for visiting cruise liners.

Falmouth has two historic 16th century castles, Pendennis and St. Mawes, marking Falmouth historically as an important strategic location.

Day 5 Fishguard is a small fishing village and ferry port that many people will see only when passing through on their way to Britain or Ireland. Day 9 In Edinburgh, an ancient fortress looms, the hills are steep, and travelers delight in the hidden charms of the Old Town and New Town. Hike to find spectacular views on Arthur's Seat, shop the downhill streets of the Royal Mile, and visit Edinburgh Castle, an imposing royal fortress that defines this city's skyline. Distillery tours celebrating Scotland's famous national drink (scotch) are also quite popular.

Day 10 There's nowhere else like it in Britain. Once you reach Newcastle you know you've arrived. By road or rail - all at once everything drops from view except the Tyne Bridge. An impressive sight, the bridge is the symbol of Newcastle the world over. Below flows the mighty River Tyne, famed in folk song and legend it even has its own Roman God. Far below you lies Quayside, an area that is the symbolic and historic heart of this elegant city. Over the bridge and it's straight to the
heart city. It's this compact area with its spacious feel which gives Newcastle a tremendous sense of liveliness throughout the day and into the night. Newcastle is a city of activity, there's plenty to do but time and space in which to relax and unwind, to enjoy yourself. There is a rich variety of entertainment, there is a deep sense of history, something of interest at every turn of the head. And just outside the city is the Northumbrian countryside, with world famous attractions such as Hadrian's Wall and Durham Cathedral and Castle. The best way to explore Newcastle's fascinating history is on foot and the city has a number of excellent City Trails which are easy to follow with guide books. Newcastle's Heritage Trails are a great way to explore the city in easy stages. Four trails cover various aspects of the city's history, The Wall, Station, Classical and Churches trails each follow a central theme and take between one to one and a half hours to walk.
