Pasta Making

Pasta Making

Step into the heart of Bari’s rich cultural heritage with this unique and interactive pasta-making experience. Begin your journey by exploring some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the Basilica of Saint Nicholas, the Swabian Castle, and the Cathedral of Saint Sabinus, along with the vibrant main squares of Bari’s old town.

The highlight of your tour is an unforgettable visit to a local grandmother’s home, where tradition and hospitality come alive. In Bari, grandmothers open their doors to the community, filling the streets with songs, sweeping the stone-paved floors, and proudly displaying their homemade orecchiette pasta drying on wooden trays.

Meet Nonna Maria, a warm and lively host who welcomes visitors to share in the joy of pasta-making. Learn the art of kneading semolina and shaping orecchiette in all sizes while listening to charming stories of Bari’s past. As the grandmothers say, a lifetime isn’t long enough to master this craft, but you’ll leave with memories that last forever.

Conclude your experience with a tasting of freshly made orecchiette, served with homemade tomato sauce-a true flavor of Apulian tradition. This is more than a cooking lesson; it’s a step back in time and a chance to live like a true local. Don’t miss the opportunity to take home the best souvenir from Bari: unforgettable memories and a taste of its authentic culinary heritage.
