Pompeii And Mount Vesuvius Hike With Lunch And Wine Tasting
Begin your adventure in Naples, where our tour departs year-round. First, discover the haunting ruins of Pompeii, a Roman city frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79.
Your guide will unveil Pompeii’s highlights, including thermal baths, the Macellum an ancient market place, a bakery, a workshop, a temple of one of the several mythological Roman Gods, the Basilica, the Forum and a Domus a house of a reach Roman family. In case of restoration work or exceptional circumstances, we’ll replace the visit with another fascinating ancient site.
After Pompeii, ascend Mount Vesuvius and savor a delicious meal at a local farm famous for the wine production with panoramic views of the volcano. You can indulge in a wine tasting featuring authentic local cuisine.
Next, follow our driver to an elevation of 1000 meters, and from there, you’ll trek to the volcano’s summit to witness the awe-inspiring crater. At the peak, a professional National Park guide will provide insights, or you can explore the crater on your own. Marvel at Mount Somma (1133 meters) to the left and Vesuvius’ cone (1281 meters) to the right, separated by the striking Valley of the Giant.
Mount Vesuvius is both majestic and captivating – a must-visit destination!
