Post Cruise Hunter Valley Wine Tasting Experience

Discover the essence of Australia’s wine culture with our unforgettable post-cruise adventure in Hunter Valley, Australia’s oldest and most celebrated wine region. Only a scenic three-hour journey from Sydney, this lively excursion immerses you in a world of flavorful wines, delectable gourmet food, and breathtaking countryside vistas.

Home to more than 150 distinct wineries, vineyards, and cellar doors, Hunter Valley is a paradise for wine connoisseurs and gastronomes alike. Our tours offer exclusive tasting experiences from Australia’s top wine labels, while giving you a taste of the region’s delicious local produce from places like the quaint town of Broke. Here, you’ll find an array of jams, chutneys, cheeses, olive oils, cured meats, and sweet treats that perfectly complement our wine selections.

Our small-group tours, expertly guided by local professional Mike Bryant, offer a personalized journey through Hunter Valley’s historic villages, scenic landscapes, and unique wildlife. Your day begins with a picturesque drive featuring the stunning Hawkesbury River, before delving into the heart of the wine region itself. You’ll gain insight into the region’s wine specialties, the tradition of winemaking, and the Hunter Valley’s other major industries of mining and horse breeding.

Your day is punctuated with several wine tastings and leisurely strolls through the vineyards, along with a chance to purchase lunch at the Hunter Valley Gardens Village. Here, you’ll discover a variety of gourmet shops stocked with mouthwatering local delicacies.

Your itinerary includes visits to three to four wineries, sampling award-winning cheeses and chocolates, exploring local village gourmet shops, and stopping at the Olive Centre for olive oil, chutney, and dip tastings. And if you’re lucky, you might spot kangaroos around scenic Lake Macquarie on your return journey.

This tour is an excellent opportunity to understand food and wine pairing, indulge in the magic of Hunter Valley wine, and perhaps buy a few bottles at cellar door prices. As the day concludes, we’ll return you to your chosen drop-off location, leaving you with cherished memories of Australia’s finest wine region.
