Make your way down the 1,949-meter volcano to the famous landmark Roque Nublo, an 80-meter-high basalt rock monolith. Located in the central municipality of Tejeda, Roque Nublo is considered one of the biggest natural crags in the world. An ancient place of worship for the aborigines, it was declared a protected natural space in 1987 and a rural park seven years later.

While in the town of Tejeda, you will be greeted by the large stone Cross of Tejeda marking the entrance to the state-run hotel, the Parador National. Take a few minutes to visit the vendors and sample local Canarian products such as cheese, honey, and fruits. Finally, you will make your way to the village of Teror, a place of pilgrimage for all the residents of Gran Canaria as the municipality holds in its Basilica the statue of the Virgen del Pino, Patron of the Diocese of the Canary Islands. Therefore, a visit to Teror means a visit to the Basilica.
