Private Mykonos Island And Walking Tour

Journey into the island’s heartland to the village of Ano Mera and visit the 16th-century Tourliani Monastery before embarking on a private sightseeing adventure through cosmopolitan Mykonos Town.

Drive past distinctive Mykonos landmarks, including its iconic blue-domed churches, brilliant white architecture and gently spinning windmills and admire the view of Delos island from the small dock of the Agios Ioannis area before arriving at Ano Mera. Although it is the second most populated town on the island, it remains quaint. The village is centered around a large public square while the monastery is known for its marble bell tower and intricately carved baroque iconostasis (altar screen).

After exploring the village and monastery, enjoy the scenic drive back to Mykonos town where your walking tour will begin. The sightseeing tour through the whitewashed streets of Mykonos town will have you walking past an abundance of photogenic chapels, and whiter-than-white houses decked out with bougainvilleas and geraniums. You will be amazed by the narrow winding streets that can be a bit confusing; however, they were purposefully designed in this fashion to fool attacking pirates.

Keep your camera ready and take pictures from the island’s most famous landmarks such as windmills and Little Venice (the most romantic places in the whole of Mykonos). Your walking tour will end at the seafront of Mykonos Town.

You will have the option of returning to your cruise ship or continuing with a stroll through the streets of Mykonos Town on your own.

The tour includes roundtrip transportation from the port to Ano Mera and back to Mykonos Town and entrance fees to the monastery. Souvenirs and snacks are not included in the cost of the trip and will be at your expense.

Please Note: Vehicles available for this tour accommodate groups of up to 47 guests maximum. Groups with more than 47 guests will need to book multiple vehicles. Please consider this information when booking.
