Private Taste Of Dalmatia
You will start with a pleasant panoramic ride along the Adriatic coastline; the first stop will be made in the small village of Orasac where we will participate in a demonstration of olive oil production the old-fashioned way, where the mill is run by a horse. Here, you will also have an opportunity to taste some homemade cheese, smoked ham, and wine.
After visiting the village of Orasac you will continue towards the Peljesac peninsula, famous for its wine, seafood, and salt pans. Our first stop is village Ponikve where we will visit a small family-owned winery that produces high-quality wine and seafood brought fresh from their beds in the nearby Mali Ston bay.
As a cherry on top of the cake comes the town of Ston, the “oyster capital” of Croatia. Especially interesting are the magnificent 5-km-long walls surrounding the town – the longest defense walls after the Great Wall of China, and its ancient salt pans where the salt is still produced the same way as back in the time of the Dubrovnik Republic, as well as the time of the Romans, who built them.
Don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be introduced to one of the most magical places in the world when you book this very exclusive and private tour today.
Please Note: Private transfers, tour guide, snacks in Orasac, winetasting, demonstration of olive oil production, entrance tickets to saltworks, and seafood tasting on the Peljesac peninsula are included in this tour. Vehicles available for this tour accommodate groups of up to 2 or 6 guests maximum. Groups with more than 6 guests will need to book multiple vehicles. Dubrovnik, often hailed as the "Pearl of the Adriatic," is a city where history and stunning natural beauty converge. Enclosed within its ancient city walls, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll find a captivating blend of medieval architecture and vibrant culture. The city's Old Town is a maze of cobblestone streets, lined with baroque churches, Renaissance buildings, and charming squares. A stroll along the Stradun, Dubrovnik’s main street, offers a glimpse into the city’s rich past and lively present. A must-see for visitors is the City Walls, which stretch over 2 kilometers and provide panoramic views of the shimmering Adriatic Sea and terracotta rooftops below. Walking the walls is an unforgettable experience, allowing you to marvel at the impressive fortifications and catch glimpses of Dubrovnik’s scenic coastline source. The walls also featured prominently in the popular TV series "Game of Thrones," further boosting Dubrovnik’s allure as a filming location for fans of the show. Dubrovnik’s natural beauty extends beyond its historic walls. The city is known for its pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters. Banje Beach, located just a short walk from the Old Town, offers stunning views of the city walls and is perfect for a refreshing swim or sunbathing. For a more secluded experience, take a boat trip to the nearby Lokrum Island, a serene retreat with botanical gardens, rocky coves, and a historic monastery. Fun fact: Dubrovnik's Old Town was used as a stand-in for King’s Landing in "Game of Thrones," making it a popular destination for fans of the series. The city's well-preserved medieval ambiance and striking scenery have earned it accolades as one of the most photogenic locations in the world. |
