Private Volterra And San Gimignano Highlights Tour

Private Volterra and San Gimignano Highlights Tour

On this Livorno excursion, travel to the heart of Tuscany on a tour of Volterra and San Gimignano. This private tour departs from the Livorno cruise ship terminal upon your arrival at the gate. From there, you’ll take a one hour drive to Volterra, where the tour will begin. This 3,000 year-old city was a Neolithic settlement, and the streets echo with the history of the Roman Empire. You’ll find beautiful examples of Romanesque sculpture at the Volterra Cathedral, Archaic and Hellenistic artifacts at the Guarnacci Etruscan Museum, and ruins from the Roman age at the Roman Theatre.

From Volterra, travel through the beautiful Tuscan countryside to San Gimignano. Tour through the middle ages in this charming village down fairy tale streets that harken back to medieval times with Romanesque and Gothic architecture, and 14 high towers scraping the clouds above.

At the end of this Livorno excursion, you’ll drive back through Volterra before being returned to your port. Book today for an unforgettable Italy excursion.
