The penguin nesting grounds of Punta Tombo thrive from September to March, hosting nearly two million Magellan penguins. Beginning in November, visitors can actually see baby penguins first leaving their nests.
While in Punta Tombo, you can explore the nesting grounds and get up close to these amazing creatures. Punta Tombo is 100 miles south of Puerto Madryn, but the experience is worth the five hours of round trip travel. You won’t want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime penguin experience.
