The city center brims with tons of attractions guaranteed to entice any traveler, from the sprawling Adelaide Central Market, to Adelaide Zoo, to Adelaide Oval Stadium. Be sure to marvel at the city’s unique collection of flora in the Adelaide Botanic Garden, then stop for a tasting of the region’s best wines at the National Wine Centre, mere steps from the botanical gardens. Just outside the city limits, the Cleland Conservation Park offers both spectacular wildlife, including native koalas, kangaroos, and wallabies, and cascading waterfalls, the most famous being Waterfall Gully.
