The capital of Sri Lanka is Sri Jayavardhanapura (Kotte); and Colombo is the largest city. Sri Lanka's coast is indented by lagoons and inlets. Trincomalee Harbor, one of the best natural harbors in the world, is located on the rugged northeast coast. On the southwestern coast other harbors include the largely artificial one at Colombo and one at Galle. |
