Steamboat Harbor Cruise (Cruise Only)
Climb aboard an authentic Mississippi River steamboat to start your New Orleans boat tour.
See the skyline of New Orleans from the water as you cruise on the river. This steamboat is one of six still functioning and fully restored on the mighty Mississippi River. Relax in the boat’s indoor or outdoor seating options during your ride. See the historic Chalmette Battlefield, where Andrew Jackson defended New Orleans against the British.
Take in the beautiful sights of river life and witness America’s second-largest port in action. This New Orleans cruise is a fun tour that’s perfect for travelers of any age.
If you would like to add lunch, an authentic Louisiana meal consisting of southern fried fish, red beans and rice, potato salad, and more, please take a look at our Steamboat Harbor Cruise with Lunch tour.
Day 1 |
The "Big Easy" invites all to eat, drink and be merry, especially during Mardi Gras, its famous late-winter bacchanal. A combination of cultures distinguishes this city on the Mississippi, with French, Caribbean and African threads woven into an enchanting tapestry. The food and overall vibe here is unforgettable.
Key things to do in New Orleans (local tip: it's pronounced New Or-LUNS, not New Or-LEENS) include sipping a daquiri on Bourbon Street, seeing Jackson Square, visiting the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, taking a horse-drawn carriage, and getting a beignet and chicory coffee at Cafe Du Monde. A river cruise on the Steamboat Natchez provides another perspective on this wondrous city. |
