Vanuatu Culture And Snorkeling Combo
Vanuatu Culture and Snorkeling Combo
This full day tour of Vanuatu is just what you need to slow down and immerse yourself in the moment. Reconnect with yourself, make new friends and share your laughter with theirs. You will discover what really matters when you discover Vanuatu and its culture, people and pristine waters.
You begin your tour directly from the pier area where you drive to your first stop of the day at the Pepeyo Cultural Village. An amazing cultural experience awaits as you learn traditional practices and skills and watch a customary dance and fire-walking display. The resorts of Port Vila have little in common with the traditional villages and their life, but it’s contrasts like these that make Vanuatu a surprise.
Continue on to Top Rock for fantastic snorkeling and underwater adventure. Top Rock is as many snorkelers call it “The Hidden Gem of Efate.” You will discover why once you get there! Made up of roughly 83 islands that stretch in a “Y” shape over 800 miles, Vanuatu offers excellent snorkeling opportunities over colorful coral reefs teeming with marine life, scuba diving underwater caverns and wrecks such as the WWII SS President Coolidge.
Now that you have worked up an appetite snorkeling, a locally prepared delicious lunch awaits you in a village setting.
Your tour resumes when you next visit Port Vila for the city’s highlights. Learn all about this Pacific Island and discover that this place is far beyond any notions of a traditional cruise-ship port with flashy resorts. Deserted beaches, ancient culture, remote and rugged outer islands along with crystal clear waters are just a small part of the magnetism of this archipelago.
A stop is made at the Duty Free shops for the chance to look for any souvenirs of your time here and for the best priced alcohol & spirits in the Pacific.
Your last stop is made for a kava tasting. This traditional drink is a product of Vanuatu and is highly important to the custom and culture of the region. The roots of the plant are used to produce a drink with sedative and anesthetic properties to name just a few. Kava is consumed throughout the Pacific Ocean cultures where it is primarily drank to relax without disrupting mental clarity. You will have the chance to sample a “shell” or two and have a true island experience.
Then you will be returned to the pier where you will be bid farewell before you make your way back to your ship.
