Newcastle Airport is only a 30-minute drive from the city centre. It offers various amenities, including short and long-term parking, several cafés and restaurants, and services for disabled passengers. It's accessible by two bus companies. Port Stephens Coaches connect the airport to Newcastle train station and Nelson Bay, accepting credit cards and Opal cards for payment. Hunter Valley Buses, on the other hand, serve routes to Maitland, Raymond, and Stockton, accepting cash and Opal cards. Note that Opal cards can't be purchased at the airport. As for taxis, they are available 24 hours a day at the taxi rank right outside the terminal. Uber and Didi are other good alternatives.
