The Genoa City Airport (GOA), also known as the Christopher Columbus Airport or Aeroporto di Genova-Sestri Ponente, is situated roughly 7 km away from the city centre. A shuttle bus service is available every day from 5:20 am to 11:30 pm, providing transportation to and from the railway station. The journey takes approximately 30–40 minutes, and you can purchase a ticket on board that's valid for the entire day on all city buses, subways, lifts, and metropolitan trains. Taxis can be easily found just outside the arrival terminal and are relatively inexpensive due to the airport's proximity to the city centre.
