Basseterre

Basseterre is the capital and one of the oldest towns in the eastern Caribbean. With a population of roughly 14,000, this port city is located on the southwestern coast of Saint Kitts Island. The Historic zone of Basseterre is definitely worth a stroll as it shows a mix of French and English colonial architecture. This vibrant area of town is also full of shops, cafés and restaurants, not to mention that is frequented by both tourists and locals. Besides being a bustling city, Basseterre also has spectacular beaches, famous for their gentle waters, and abundant natural beauty with a variety of flora and fauna.
