Located in what used to be the Treasury Building, this informative museum offers a nice break from the heat and the sun. Despite being small, this museum documents and preserves the history of the island before the arrival of the Europeans and African slaves. Visitors can learn about the natural history of the islands and the animal life that existed before humans arrived over two thousand years ago. The National Museum of Saint Kitts is well worth the visit during your stay in Basseterre. For a low entry fee, you'll be able to discover Saint Kitts and Nevis's fascinating history.
