City Café

In 1891, three years after the great Sundsvall fire, Mina Nordström started a café in the newly rebuilt Hirschska house. Mina owned the café through a century change and two world wars. In 1945, Konrad Dufenberg took over the business, and in 1967 a new era began with the name change to City Caféet. In 1997, Gunilla Sjöberg took over this venerable café, which is now the second oldest in Sweden. Today's City Café is filled with tradition, personality, and charm. People from across the country visit to experience a piece of well-preserved history. Gunilla's homemade mustard is a must-try, and its recipe is a closely guarded secret.
