El Ghriba Synagogue, located in the village of Hara Seghira, stands as the oldest synagogue in Tunisia and, possibly, all of Africa. Situated southwest of Houmt El Souk, the main town of Djerba, this historic site serves as the focal point of Jews in North Africa. The synagogue is renowned for its ornate interiors adorned with intricate blue tile work and elegant arches.
