Hoop Pole Creek Nature Trail is a 31-acre maritime forest that serves as a refuge for fish, wildlife, and plant ecosystems. The North Carolina coast holds an enormity of diverse habitats, and the Hoop Pole Creek is permanently protected by the NC Coastal Federation as a result. Visitors are welcome to hike its low-impact, half-mile trail, which is open to the public during daylight hours. Free trail guides are offered at the trail entrance.
