Completely unexpected and always raving, this complex of two restaurants (namely Chef´s Tabl and Sorrento´s) offers not only some of High Country's best dishes, but unending nighttime entertainment. in fact One part of the building comprehends the restaurants, one part lounge. The latter bounces with South Beach lighting, plush white leather seating, and live music. DJ sets and Jazz set the tones, with theme nights and events taking place monthly. The Barra is a veritable favorite of Banner Elk. With karaoke every Saturday night, live football games on multiple televisions, open mic nights, food and drink specials, and more, it's easy to see why.

Bars & Nightlife
Look to Banner Elk for an escape from the traditional bar scene, for its nightlife venues span everything from New Orleans style eateries to tapas bars. The younger crowd may want to head over to the nearby college town of Boone, where they can rub elbows with Appalachian State students taking a break from their studies. Most late night hot spots are laid back watering holes, where you can sip a drink, grab some food, and enjoy some music or conversation.
