Southdale Center was the nation's first indoor shopping mall when it opened in 1956. The mall is anchored by Macy's, and also has over 120 specialty stores, including Michael Kors, The Apple Store, and Sephora. Dining options at Southdale range from sit down restaurants such as Cheesecake Factory and P.F Changs, to more casual choices such as Qdoba Mexican Grill and Smashburger. There is also a movie theater, AMC Megaplex, located at the mall.
