Indian Lands Conservation Area

Behind town Office, A coastal area of 25 acres of woodland and marshes hides a unique environment: every year during the winter months, the shores of Bass River are the typical destination of Nobscusset Indians, a native american community who continues to reside in this natural pearl since 1778. When winter comes, these people come along and built their wigwams along the shores of Bass River, where they use to relax until Spring arrives and brings Lady Slipper Orchid to the river´s meadows.
