The Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) is located less than 17 miles from the Fort Myers town center. Taxis at the airport are provided by MBA Airport Transportation. The fares vary depending on zones; taxis aren't metered. Alternatively, you can rent a car at the airport's Rental Car Service Center, which is found on the ground level of the parking garage. To reach the town by public transport, you can use the Route 50 bus service provided by the Lee Tran Company. The buses run seven days a week, but not at night. The timetable changes seasonally.
