Mount Tallac is perfect for the seasoned hiker. With a length of 9.5 miles, the trail takes you to Lake Tahoe's tallest peak. The vistas are overwhelmingly breathtaking, with ridges, meadows, and alpine lakes.

- Address: 870 Emerald Bay Road, Suite 1, South lake Tahoe
- Address: A wilderness permit is required. Day hikers, pick up your permit at the self serve area at the trailhead. Overnight hikers will need an overnight permit for Desolation Wilderness. This permit must be purchased before you get to the Mt. Tallac Trailhead.
