Maine Forestry Museum

The importance of Rangeley as a provider of timber dates back to a pre-colonial era, when Native American inhabitants of the region utilized the trees to build their homes and canoes. The Maine Forestry Museum opened in the 1970s and chronicles the evolution of the logging industry throughout the centuries.
