As with the rest of New York State, temperatures in Syracuse may vary drastically throughout the year: the warmest period to visit Syracuse stretches from June to August, though the high humidity (around 50% on average through the year) could bring about rain already during the last days of July. Winters can be cold, so a trip is better left for late Spring (approximately April-May): this season offers tourists open air attractions, such as artists performing in the streets, and the beauty of many flowering trees in the numerous parks and along the avenues of the city center.
